Abstract

This study aims to analyze the urgency of transformational leadership within the church context as a response to the challenges of the globalization era marked by rapid disruption. The background of the problem stems from fast and complex social changes that demand leaders—not only in secular fields but also within the church—to possess leadership skills, intellectual competence, and strategic vision. Traditional, static leadership models are no longer adequate to meet the needs of the time. This research uses a descriptive-qualitative method through a literature review on leadership theories and church dynamics. The findings reveal that the church requires transformational leaders who can bridge traditional values with global dynamics without compromising spiritual identity. This research's state of the art lies in its relevance to reinterpret the role of church leadership in a constantly changing world. Thus, the church can become more adaptive and visionary in serving this era
